(4848) Automatic self-cleaning sieve filter
A sieve filter that cleans itself automatically by periodically reversing the flow. The accumulated sediments, dislodged during cleaning, are discharged to waste. The cleaning action may be set in motion by a level of head loss above some critical value, by a lapse of time between two successive cleanings, by a volume of filtered water, or by any other parameter or combination of various parameters.
